This started as a playlist drabble, using Bonnie Raitt's "I Can't Make You Love Me (if you don't)", but it quickly grew larger than 100 words. I had the idea for this at 2 in the morning and it wouldn't let go.
Just a warning...angst and tears. Have a hankie handy.
