He closed his eyes and enjoyed the ocean breeze. This was the first time he traveled on the water without that sinking feeling in his stomach. No cold sweat on his forehead or agony in his head. Ironic, it was, that his last memory was of fire and pain...
He looked over at the man at the wheel. Slightly taller than he was, with dark hair and broad build. The captain straightened as if feeling his scrutiny. There was a slight smile on his face. Proud. Welcoming.
“Hello, Malcolm. I'm glad you could finally join me.”
