turlough: Gerard & Mikey Way, July 2014 ((mcr) ways)

When Gerard came out of sleep, Mikey was already awake. He was standing next to the nav console, extending and flexing his arm, and when Gerard focused on it, he could see more of the arm was different now, its motion less smooth, less even. "The change progressed," he said.

"It is progressing," Mikey answered.

Mikey had rebuilt Gerard before, when Gerard broke down, and Gerard had done the same for Mikey, but he didn't know what to do now.

"Should I test the extent of it?"

"Okay," Mikey said.

So Gerard slid out his scanner and ran it along Mikey's arm, up to the curve of his neck and down along the back of his shoulderblade. He recorded the temperature and density and all the other data he could register, and then used them to plot the location where the metal and oil and plastoderm gave way to the unfamiliar.

Six. Gerard pushes his piece forward, hand hesitating before he reluctantly places it on Vine Street, staring down at the thirty dollars he has in bills, then up at the three houses on the property. "Frank, If you don't make me pay rent, I will... Give you the blowjob of your life."

"Gerard! You can't do that!" Mikey squawks.

Frank stares, "Seriously? Coz, that sounds like an awesome deal to me."

"What? Blowjob!" He shrugs, "Like I'm gonna pass that up for the -" he glances at the card, "five hundred dollars rent. Fuck, Gee. You're expensive."

"Two blowjobs?" Gerard offers, hopefully.

"Gerard! You can't exchange sexual favours for rent!" Mikey stares.

"Why not?"

Thanks to everyone who let us know that Photobucket images were not loading properly on some pages. The problem seemed to be mostly limited to HTTPS requests; Dreamwidth maintains a list of known high-traffic image sites that support HTTPS, so that our secure content proxy service doesn't cache them unnecessarily. Unfortunately Photobucket seems to have recently changed their site configuration such that HTTPS requests aren't being served as expected, and we've now taken it out of our list of "proxy-exempt" sites.

If you continue to have issues, make sure you're not using HTTPS Photobucket links. It's a bit counterintuitive, but if you use HTTP instead, it will be automatically transformed on our end to an HTTPS link that uses p.dreamwidth.org.

Hope that clears everything up for now! Let us know if it doesn't...
